Maggie Carberry grew up in Pelham, New York. She moved to Boston by way of Washington DC, London, and Brasilia. Whether it involves a visit to another country or her own back yard, Maggie’s work begins with a camera and a journey. She uses printmaking processes and layers of media to transform her nostalgic images into work that reflects a passing of time. Maggie’s mixed media paintings often remind us of a simpler time in our own idealized memories. Those hazy days are further fragmented and captured inside her handmade, one of a kind pendants. Maggie works out of her home studio in Jamaica Plain, MA.
